Why I do, what I do

Motion, passion, and pure energy are made a mark at a time through my brushwork.  I paint to explore.  I get excited over the effect one mark has on the spin and balance of the painting.  I want my viewers to feel swept up in the moment.  I want you to feel the wind, hear the roar of the waves or engine of the car, and want to go along for the ride.

Join me for an Artist Talk from my studio live over zoom.  I will cover my new series of sailboat paintings that are currently on view at Jo Fleming Contemporary Art in Annapolis MD.  I will discuss my process and my inspiration for this series as well as a look at recent car paintings.  Find out why sailboats became the next step in my exploration of motion.   

For the fans of my dancers, come for the unveiling of my newest dance painting!  This is the first one in over a year.  You'll want to see it first.
